Wolfpack 16U Walk It Off Against Wildfire 16U

Wolfpack 16U took Sunday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 6-5 walk-off victory over Wildfire 16U. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the eighth when Windom Park singled, scoring one run.
Despite falling down by four runs in the second inning, Wildfire 16U tried to fight back. Wildfire 16U closed the gap by scoring on an error, a single, and a single.
Wolfpack 16U got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Lane Stilwell walked, Wolfpack 16U scored on a passed ball, and Windom Park singled, each scoring one run.
Wolfpack 16U added one run in the second after Murice Boone stole home.
A single by Ethan Rita gave Wildfire 16U the lead, 5-4, in the top of the fourth.
Todeo Salinas grounded out, which helped Wolfpack 16U tie the game at five in the bottom of the sixth.
Jayven Reys stepped on the mound first for Wolfpack 16U. The starting pitcher gave up six hits and five runs (four earned) over three innings, striking out six and walking two. Anthony Alvarez and Windom Park each threw shutout innings for Wolfpack 16U in relief.
Windom Park drove the middle of the lineup, leading Wolfpack 16U with two runs batted in. The catcher went 2-for-3 on the day. Lane Stilwell and Windom Park each collected two hits for Wolfpack 16U.
