Third-Inning Burst Enough To Lead 1914 12U Past Wolfpack 12U

1914 12U defeated Wolfpack 12U 12-3 on Saturday thanks in part to nine runs in the third inning.

1914 12U opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. 1914 12U first got on the board when Ricky T singled, scoring one run.

An error extended the 1914 12U lead to 3-0 in the top of the second inning.

Cooper M homered to center field, which helped Wolfpack 12U tie the game at three in the bottom of the second.

1914 12U flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring nine runs on four hits to take the lead, 12-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Shawn S that drove in two.

Cooper M stepped on the hill first for Wolfpack 12U. The right-handed pitcher allowed two hits and three runs (two earned) over two innings, striking out three and walking four.

Cooper M led Wolfpack 12U with three runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-1 on the day. Theo R and Cooper M each collected one hit for Wolfpack 12U.

Shawn S led 1914 12U with four runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 3-for-3 on the day. Shawn S and Ricky T each collected three hits for 1914 12U. Andre V paced 1914 12U with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating nine walks for the game. Angel M stole three bases. 1914 12U ran wild on the base paths, collecting six stolen bases for the game.
