Wolfpack 16U Stymied By CG Orioles 17U

Wolfpack 16U couldn't keep up with CG Orioles 17U and fell 11-3 on Saturday.

CG Orioles 17U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Max Baca singled, and Jovanny Sanchez grounded out, each scoring one run.

CG Orioles 17U added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Cole Rice homered to right field, Kaleb Diaz singled, and Caleb Arvizu grounded out, each scoring one run.

CG Orioles 17U scored five runs on five hits in the top of the fourth inning. Max Baca grounded out, scoring one run, RJ Maestas was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Emmanuel Macias singled, scoring one run, Kaleb Diaz singled, scoring one run, and Calaeus Perales singled, scoring one run.

Anthony Alvarez stepped on the bump first for Wolfpack 16U. The starting pitcher gave up seven hits and five runs over three innings, striking out two and walking three.

Todeo Salinas went 1-for-1 at the plate as they led the team with one run batted in. Lane Stilwell, Todeo Salinas, Moises Lopez, Anthony Alvarez, and William Kane each collected one hit for Wolfpack 16U.

CG Orioles 17U collected 12 hits in the game. Kaleb Diaz and Emmanuel Macias were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for CG Orioles 17U. Kaleb Diaz and Max Baca each drove in two runs for CG Orioles 17U. Cole Rice collected two hits for CG Orioles 17U in two at bats. Kaleb Diaz, Angel Rendon, Emmanuel Macias, and Cole Rice each stole multiple bases for CG Orioles 17U. CG Orioles 17U stole 11 bases in the game.
